Wantable Review: A Subscription Box Based on Your Style!

Wantable Review

I was recently given the opportunity to review a new subscription box — Wantable! This is a subscription box with a twist — it’s not just makeup, snacks or samples. At this time, you can choose between a makeup (containing full size products, not samples), accessories, intimates or limited edition Halloween box. The cost ranges between $36 a month for a subscription to $40 a month for a one time purchase.

So what makes Wantable different than all the other boxes out there? STYLE PROFILES! Instead of the same random box everyone else gets with products that you may or may not be in love with (or even USE) each box is tailored to your specific likes and dislikes. For instance, I chose the accessories box and when I filled out the very in-depth profile, I marked that I dislike rings and watches. Boom — no rings or watches in my box! Each option has a slider button that can go between “love” or “dislike” with a middle point equaling “like” — easy peasy! For each genre (such as classic or glam) they give you pictorial examples of items in that category in case you’re not exactly sure what it encompasses.

Wantable Review
My profile looked like this:

Love: Glam, rock ‘n roll, mix ‘n match, urban, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, sunglasses, headbands, silver tone, skulls, inspirational text, guns

Like: Gold tone, multi-tone, wood, acrylic, beads, Christian

Dislike: Classic, boho, rings, watches, scarves, leatherette (and a few other religious options which would be a better fit for someone of that faith, such as Jewish, Buddhist or Muslim).

Now — did Wantable deliver?

I received my box pretty quickly, and I had received 3 pieces of jewelry.

Wantable ReviewMia Necklace — RV $34
Wicked spikes are all grown up in this elegant yet edgy necklace, featuring brushed gold tone and faceted stone.
Wantable ReviewKendyl Earrings - RV $28
The Kendyl earrings are not for the faint of heart! These dramatic drop earrings feature three tiers of silvery, featherlike details.
Wantable ReviewBayla Earrings - RV $22
Add a little edge to your look with the Bayla earrings. These drops feature silver-tone spikes.

Overall, I was really pleased with the items I received. With the exception of the Mia Necklace — I swear I put longer necklace lengths on my profile but maybe I didn’t — so I can’t fault the company if I’m not sure. I have a chunky neck, so short necklaces are absolutely NOT something I would purposefully request. It’s also a little Mad Max for my tastes, but I’m sure I have a friend who will take it off my hands. As for the earrings - I’m absolutely in love with the Bayla Earrings. It’s like someone took punk rock and elegant and smooshed them together. Definitely my style! And while I don’t normally wear earrings as long as the Kendyl’s… I already have an upcoming event I’m excited to wear them at.

So, what will YOU get in a Wantable?

I have seen a lot of reviews about subscription boxes blogs and you tube. But this is the only review that I might would actually look into it seeing that you actually get a choice of what you have in your box.

I’m always leery of subscription boxes. I’m not a big fan of not knowing what I will get. This actually perks my interest because I can choose what I like. Those earrings are to die for!

I love all these new subscription boxes coming out but I’d be nervous to try out new ones. Great items though!
