A shiny new month is almost upon us, which gives us yet another chance to make some tweaks in our lives. You all know I quit smoking back in October — tomorrow is actually my 5 month nonsmoking anniversary! WOOT WOOT! Since that time, I’ve also quit ingesting high fructose corn syrup (I know, that’s kind of a weird one) and caramel color. I’ve also quit artificial sweeteners and have been striving to drink more water every day. So far, I’ve managed to settle on fizzy water, but at least it doesn’t have anything extra added to it.
I know most resolutions happen in January, but why should we feel like we’ve missed out on a chance that only comes once a year? Pfft.
So, what do I have for you?
A 30 day challenge to implement a new healthy habit in your life!
Why 30 days? “They” (yes, the infamous they) say it takes 21 days to form a new habit. April happens to have 30 days, so I have created a printable chart for you to color each day you are successful with your new habit. You don’t have to write down your new healthy habit, you don’t have to tell anyone what it is… only you will know what your star chart means!
Not sure what kind of healthy habit change to make? Don’t overwhelm yourself!
- Meatless Monday
- Wake up early
- Make time for yourself
- Quitting smoking
- Trying a new activity like yoga
- Drinking more water
- Quitting soda
- Get active
- De-cluttering your home
- Cooking at home instead of ordering takeout
- Trying new vegetables or foods
- Cutting sugar or HFCS out of your diet
- Go to bed at a decent time
I will be charting right along with all of you in April. Check in with me on Facebook & Twitter and let me know how you’re doing!
And in case you need a little more motivation, here is an info graphic to jump start your first seven days. YOU CAN DO IT!
